What's the diagnosis?

In your own words, however you have it.

If you only know part of it, that's fine. You can update later.

When did you find out?

Roughly. Days bleed together right now. That's normal.

What you told me

A diagnosis arrived.

You shared a diagnosis and a little context. I'll keep what you told me close to the top of every Brief so we're working from the same picture.

Three things to know this week

The first 48 hours, in order.

  • 1 Don't agree to anything irreversible this week. The first appointment is for hearing, not deciding. You almost certainly have time to get a second opinion.
  • 2 Capture every paper they handed you. Photograph the after-visit summary, meds, and doctor names. Drop them into your Vault before they get lost.
  • 3 Stop Googling tonight. Results are calibrated for the worst case, not yours. If a question comes up, save it for me or your clinic's nurse navigator.

What I won't try to answer

These questions belong in the room with your clinician.

  • "How long do I have?"

Statistics are based on patients diagnosed years ago, not today. Ask your oncologist directly: "What would you want to know if you were in my position?"

  • "Should I do treatment X or Y?"

I can't recommend treatments. Ask your clinician: "What would you do if I were your spouse?" That phrasing gets the most honest answer.

  • "Is this curable?"

"Curable" means different things to different specialists. Ask whichever is treating you what they mean by it.

What to do next

Three concrete steps, in order.

Today Photograph every paper they handed you. Get medication names and doses into your Vault — information slips fast.
This week Ask who your nurse navigator is. They translate, schedule, and answer between visits.
Next visit Pick three to five questions from your Health Plan. Choose the ones that change a decision.

Settings

Setup

Steady runs on your device. Your diagnosis, documents, questions, and conversations all live here — not on any server.

No key set

Stored only in this browser, on this device. Tap Clear key to remove it.

How this works. When you tap Ask Steady, your phone sends your question — and any documents needed to answer it — straight to Claude (Anthropic's AI), using this key. Claude answers, Steady saves the answer here on your phone, and that's it.
  • No accounts. No profile. Steady doesn't run a server or keep a user database. Nothing about you exists in our system because there is no system.
  • Claude reads to help, doesn't memorize. Anthropic processes each request and returns the answer. The conversation lives only on your phone.
  • To remove your stuff: tap Start over from your Brief, or clear this site's data in your browser.
